Fire Tip one: Fire Boiled Frogs.
If you put a frog in boiling water, it knows to jump out immediately, if you put a frog in cold water and slowly turn the heat up, it doesn’t know to jump out and ultimately gets boiled. It is up to leaders to ensure that their employees know the water temperature! It is up to leaders to ensure they have no boiled frogs in their company.
Fire Tip Two: Fire Mediocrity.
If you want to be world class, then you must hire and work with the world-class, Mediocrity is a close cousin to complacency and complacency is the number one reason for low performance. Achieving excellence requires the removal of mediocrity.
